Indy Food Critic: Carrabba's Italian Grill

This is the first Indy Food Critic for the month of December been planing on changing the name of Indy Food Critic just by calling it Independent Food Critic where Indy is happen to be another term for Independent some are thinking it as Indy as just doing Hindu Indian or the city of Indianapolis where I happen to be living in Kansas City mostly are in the KC area. Would do review's on place's any where outside of the KC area. Just let me know if you want a different name of just use Independent?

Today from now ate at Carrabba's over on Metcalf in Overland park, KS. Most of the time Carrabba's is a Italian place that I like back when I was still living in the Omaha area. Know how to fill you up. The one I ate at was not really the best. Besides for the calamari their is really good better then what Red Lobster how they service theirs. For the soap I had was a Italian sausage based bean soap was all right I rather go for the Italian chilie at Johnny Carinos. Main thing I has was their chicken parmesan and spaghetti with meat sauce. The chicken parmesan was over cooked. The prices where really high. got plenty to eat Johnny Carino's is still the best Italian place so fare in the KC area for Carrabba's 1 out of 5 I give it a 3 out of 5. Well be doing other place I ate at reviews. Remember something I am my own food critic and for now keep on eating!

Indy Food Critic: Whats with the pretzel buns?

pretzel bun roast beef melt from Arby's

Haven't been doing any post for a while. Been really busy with something right now and having some problems typing on this site. This is one of the not reviews Indy Food Critic where it is one of a thew I write about restaurant's right now. Most of the fast food and other forms of chain places are doing pretzel buns. Just wondering what's with the pretzel buns? A bit about the pretzel where it came from Germany. Shape of a heart where they reword kids with them after they do their bible preys. Also the pretzel is known good for beer. Serve at beer feast's such as October feast. Now most restaurants are using them as buns form of a sandwich. Started off with Sonic for their pretzel bun hot dogs. Wendy's with their Pretzel bun burgers now they have a pretzel bun chicken sandwich. Arby's with their roast beef and ham sandwich's. Arby's roast beef one was one of the pretty good pretzel bun sandwich's beside's bratwurst sever on a pretzel bun at Haus as the best. It is a small German bar kinda place ate and review back in October 2012. Also dine in chain place's are also doing pretzel buns. Such as Ruby Tuesdays with their pretzel bun burgers. Chili's with their pretzel bun chicken sandwich. Applebees has not have their way of a pretzel bun sandwich serve pretzel sticks with beer cheese to dip it in. Maybe Taco Bell well come out with their pretzel shell taco. Whats with the pretzel buns right now is the pretzel the thing that is in right now. Whats wrong with regular buns or other kinds of buns? Pretzel bun is what we got for now some place's. Remember something I am my own food critic and for now keep on eating!

Indy Food Critic: The Cheesecake Factory

Today from it is my Birthday from now. I ate at The Cheesecake Factory over at The Country club plaza in Kansas City, Mo. Cheesecake Factory are those up scale looking chain place's. With middle eastern decor clam for it's cheesecake. A fictional version is shown on The Big Bang Theory. Where the main female character name Penny is a waitress serving mainly the four guy's show knows that goes their every Tuesday nights.  Did had a pretty good meal their had smokehouse BBQ Burger with fries. The burger was good it was big and meaty. Beside's that their was something about the BBQ sauce I didn't really like. The fries where really good. Had my Cheesecake it was a OREO cheesecake been wanting one of those for awhile. It was to chocolaty mostly was dark chocolate. The service was pretty good a lot of people their doing their best they can do. Pretty much like a fancy Village Inn with cheesecake's instead of pie's. Other then the cheesecake it was a pretty good meal I had their. Little cheaper then Red Lobster. For this place 1 out of 5 I give it a 4 out of 5.

OREO Cheesecake I had

Well be doing more Indy Food Critic post soon and other kinds of post's. Remember something I am my own food critic and for now keep on eating!

Indy Food Critic: Johnie's West (Kansas City,Ks)

Today from now I ate at Johnnie's West a  restaurant bar where the locals go over on Leavenworth rd in Kansas City, Ks not really to far from where I live. Had a Cheeseburger with Swiss cheese and fries with it. The burger was OK. Not really big not much with flavor. The fries where all right. Not really the best place to eat at. Do have weekly special's. It was a OK place to eat mostly place where the locals can go to to watch the football game. To me it just a place to stop by to get something to eat.  For this place 1 out of 5 I give it a 2 out of 5. I well be doing more Indy Food Critic reviews soon. History of Vampires in Cinema

Vampires always had been big in cinema for a long time. known to roam the night to feed on the blood of the living. Right now I am going to give you a bit of timeline history of vampires in cinema. In my own way of tilling about it.

*1922 Back in the silent film aria Nosferatu a German film came out it was the first will known vampire movie. Was based on Bram Stoker's novel Dracula. Where they can not get the right's from Bram Stker's willow. Had change some of it. Max Schreck as Count Orlok and he is still a pretty spooky today.

*1931 Dracula came out with Bela Lugosi as him most famous role ever. Black and white talking film that is timeless of this day.

*1958 While in that time most of the horror movies where Sci-Fi B-movies about giant monsters, alien invaders and science gone wrong. Hammer's came out with Horror of Dracula where it was in color and more frighting for it's times. Christoper Lee as Dracula. Started a series of Dracula and other vampire movies from Hammer all the way to the mid 70's.

*1972 First Afro vampire on film Blacula came out. Where he was made into a vampire by Count Dracula. A year later it had only one sequel Scream Blaula Scream.

*1985 Fright Night came out where is about a vampire cross street from a teenage boy. Where it was the first film to make vampires were mondern day cloths. Still made tribute to the old vampire movies.

*1987 The Lost Boys came out with making vampires into a group of rock and roll style punks still having them frighting started a new Gen of vampires.

*1994 Came out with Intertview with the Vampire that was based from a book by Ann Rice. Where they make vampires into pretty boys. About the journey through the ages as a vampire. Probably made the idea of some wanting to be vampires.

*1998 Blade came out based from Marvel comics about half vampire who haunts down vampires in a urban sitting. Started the idea of line of movies from Marvel comics. The same year that John Carpenter's Vampires came out where it was a still of a western sit place in current time about a vengeful vampire hunter who mostly drag vampires out into day time to get fried in the sun. Most stop a Century's old vampire to get the black cross to be able to walk in day time.

*2007 Based from a comic book 30 Days of Night. Where it is about a group of vampires attacking a small Alaskan town up in the North part of Alaska during it's 30 days of night. Towns do what they can do to stop the vampires. Made vampires even more frighting. Something a bit like 28 Days Later instead of fast moving zombies was vampires.

*2009 Daybreakers came out. Where it takes place in the future. Mostly everybody got effected by a virus that made them into vampires. Limited on blood while human's are endangered species. A vampire found him self to be cure as a human. If they drink his blood they become human.

That was a bit of History of vampires maybe not every single vampire movie ever made I put down. Not the best way of saying it. Just did what I know about. Also meany other things with vampires that are not in movies such as in books, Comic Books/Graphic novels like Nosferatu; The Untold Origin by Louis Pecsi. See them on TV such as True Blood on HBO and in video games. All kinds of vampires to enjoy that dose not sparkle in the sun. Vampires we know that if we are afraid of them or want to be them. Vampires are always going to be in a place in cinema. For now have a scary day!

Indy Food Critic: Golden Corral

This happens to be the first Indy Food Critic review for the month of October. Haven't did a Indy Food Critic review for a while since I haven't been out to eat as much to do place's for reviews on. Today from now ate at the Golden Corral over on NW Skyview over on the Mo side of Kansas City. Never really much with Golden Corral's they are like any other family buffet like Ryan's and Home Town's. The food their was OK nothing really special about it. Was their when they had a thing of wings and appetizers on their buffet. What I had was the first plate was mini burgers that where vary little get better one's at Applebees and Ruby Tuesday's.Steak fries top with melted cheese. Two buffalo wings and a roll. Second plate was nachos, Corn bread and bourbon chicken and had for dessert made myself a sundae bottom with a brownie and a cookie top with hot fug. They didn't had crunch up Oreo's to top it off. Been wanting a Oreo Sundae for a while. Golden Corral still not really the best place. This one was kinda better then the one I had go to back in my Home Town of Council Bluffs, Ia. Now you can grab your own plate then waiting for your server to give another thing of plates. Pretty much a place to pig out to take your family to just pretty much like any other buffet. For this place 1 out of 5 I give it a 2 out of 5. Well be doing more Indy Food Critic reviews soon and other kinds of post. Remember something I am my own Food Critic for now keep on eating!

History of Zombies in Cinema

Right now going to give you a brief timeline history of zombies in Cinema. Do something like this on my Facebook status last year changing and add a bit more this time. Zombies are all ways a big thing in movies for a long time. Where the undead walks. Going to do a History of Zombies in cinema with my own way of telling it.

*1931 The very first zombie movie White Zombie came out with Bela Lugosi in it. Where the zombies first started out as hypnosis working zombies.

*1968 George A. Romero came out with Night of the Living Dead first released independent where he made his zombies slow moving flesh eating the living zombies. What started the zombies we know today.

*1979 The second instalment to George A. Romero's Living Dead series Down of the Dead came out. Where it came out in colour. Where it had zombies in a shopping mall.

*1985 Where Return of the Dead came out where this one was made as a Comedy. Made zombies ever more rotted and the idea of saying brains!

*2002 Haven't had a zombie movie for a long time. 28 Days Later was first released in the UK. Made zombies a big come back started the idea of fast moving zombies.

*2004 A British Comedy called Shaun of the Dead came out. Was a sorta a parody to the remake of Dawn of the Dead. With the main living character happens to be name Shaun.

*2013 The movie World War Z came out staring Brad Pitt. Where he travels the world to tell everyone about the zombie apocalypse is coming. Based from a novel by Max Books who knows about serving a zombie apocalypse.

Mostly a bit of the zombie film history that I know the best about. There are things where you can fined zombies then in movies such as video games. Novels same with World War Z. Comic Books and on TV such as AMC's The Walking Dead is happens to be based from a comic book. Any time when the zombie Apocalypse happens we those movies for now to see what it would be like when It do really happens For now keep viewing.

Indy Food Critic: How to make a Frito Pie Pizza

This is one of the few recipe's from Indy Food Critic that come's once in a while. Tell you how to make a Frito pie pizza.

The Things you need

* Bag of plane Frito's
* Canned of Chili
* Cheddar cheese
* Pizza crust
* Olive oil

To make the Frito pie pizza. Take a pizza crust you can fine at the store. Spreed some olive oil. Open the canned of chili. To me I place it in a bowl mix BBQ sauce and hot sauce for flavor. Then take the chili place it top of the pizza crust. Spreed it all the around in the middle. The take the Frito's top it on the chili. Then add the cheddar cheese on the Frito's. To me I fix it on a Pizzazz Pizza oven. But you can just cook it in a normal oven just fallow the pre-heating on the pizza crust and time. After when it is cooked. Cut it up like a pizza. You have your Frito pie pizza. Let you know taste better after when you just got it cooked. After when it been in the frig for storing it as left overs. Makes the Frito's on it soggy. More Indy Food Critic post and other things well come out soon. Remember something I am my own food critic and for now keep on eating!

Indy Food Critic: Red Lobster's Endless shrimp

Let you know from the last Indy Food Critic review on Culver's say butterball burgers. Meant to say Butter Burgers. Right now I went to the Red Lobster over at the speedway by Legends in Kansas City, Ks. Mostly the place's I been eating at doing reviews on. Had their endless shrimp started off with the two shrimp hand breaded and scampi. They where both good. the 2nd round took a long time to get. had the spicy soy grilled shrimp was not any thing spicy mostly is grilled shrimp with soy sauce on it. the 3rd round was another thing of handed breaded shrimp. It was all right the service was not the best food when I was their. Red Lobster's has it's up's and downs all ways vary pricey. even do it is a limited all you can eat shrimp. Probably just for this month of September. Would want to go to Outback for stick and unlimited shrimp what they are having right now. for Red Lobster's endless shrimp 1 out of 5 I give it a 3 out of 5. Well be doing more post soon. Remember something I am my own food critic and for now keep on eating!

Indy Food Critic: Culver's Crispy chicken sandwich

This is the first post on September of this year for now. I know been doing reviews on a food I had at the place I ate at. Then what I ever get their goes out of the whole place I ate at. Today from now had a crispy chicken sandwich at Culvers. In steed of a butterball burger what I normally get. I all was know that Culver's is a mid west based of a form of a fast food place. Crispy chicken sandwich was pretty good crispy. It's white meat chicken not really that big. Kinda taste like the kinds at Chick-fill-A. Did had it as a value basket with a their root beer to drink and fries. The chicken sandwich was pretty good. Something I well get once in a while probably well get other things on their menu. More time's if I go their I would stick with their butterball burgers. For the Crispy Chicken Sandwich 1 out of 5 I give it a 3 out of 5. I well probably go back doing full restaurant reviews what ever I get goes out of the place. If I ever go some place I haven't ate before or in a long time. I well be doing more post soon. Remember something I am my own food critic and for now keep on eating!

Top 7 Summer movies 2013

The Avengers and The Dark Knight Rises where one of the 2 movies that came out last year from now. Since the summer season is about to be over with. Ranking up the 7 summer movies I seen so fair. This year it's mostly forms of re-makes and comic book movies as all ways. More of this year is the older movies and life it self makes my summer. Got 2 on here that did not do to well. But I happen to like them a bit.

1, Star Trek: Into Darkness

2, Iron Man 3

3, Pacific Rim

4, The Lone Ranger

5, R.I.P.D.

6, The Wolverine

7, Man of Steel

Most of the movies I seen this year so fair sorry about not having Brad Pitt running from zombies in Wold War Z and those Twinkie looking Minions from Despicable Me 2. Their some movie out right now I want to see are Percy Jackson Sea of Monsters and Kick-Ass 2. If you want info about those movie you can see them your self. Well probably be out on DVD and Blu-ray soon. More post on here soon. For now keep on viewing!

Indy Food Critic: Applebees Ultimate Trios

I know it is a Applebees review. Doing it any way since most of the time want me to do Applebees since they get pretty good views. It another one on something I had their what my last one at Chili's another place like Applebees I did on their Cheese Steak Sandwich. Today from now had a pretty good meal at Applebees over by Legends in Kansas City, Ks. Had the Ultimate Trio what I probably had on my first Indy Food Critic video review back in 2009. This time did not had the cheese burger sliders mostly what I get when it comes to the Ultimate Trio mostly things you get as Appetizers on their menu. Got their brew pub pretzels and beer cheese dip. They are kinda a new item they have now. Pretzels where pretty good. Bigger then I thought they where. The beer cheese was OK. it was a white kind of beer cheese for dipping. I well probably get it again one of those times I well go their. Mozzarella Cheese sticks where all so pretty good. Boneless buffalo wings that I had mild. Where just their bland flavor heat sauce. Just have on vary crispy chicken nuggets. Was a pretty good meal 1 out of 5 I give it a 4 out of 5.

Well be doing more Indy Food Critic post and other kinds of post soon. Remember something I am my own food critic and for now keep on eating!

Indy Food Critic: Chili's Cheese steak

This is one of those kinds of Indy Food Critic reviews where I review a thing I got at a place. Then what I get their goes out of most of the place I ate at. This one is on Chili's Cheese Steak sandwich I had their. Today from now had Chili's Cheese Steak sandwich over at the Chili's by Legends Kansas City, Ks. Most part of the place's been going their. We all know Chili's is a Applebees kind of place that is more to American South West Theme. About the cheese steak sandwich. Tolled theme to hold the peppers and onions. Serve it with onions have it back to get it without onions. The manger came tolled me that the cheese sauce put on it has onions in it. Got it with melted American cheese. The sandwich was all right not the best cheese steak sandwich. Mostly it is like the kinds get any other chain place's like this. Much bigger then the kind at Applebees. Next time I well just get it with white cheese. Get something different on their menu. For the Cheese steak sandwich 1 out of 5 I give it a 3 out of 5. More Indy Food Critic and other post well be out soon. Remember Something I am my own food critic and for now keep on eating!

Indy Food Critic: Quiznos

This is the first Indy Food Critic review and post on Liem's Blogs the month of August of 2013. Today from now I ate at the Quiznos inside of Nebraska Furniture Mart over by Legends in Kansas City, Ks. We all know Quizons service toasted subs. This one was a small one that didn't have a big menu like the full size one's didn't had the french dip one at this one. Got the closet sub from it. Double Cheese Prime Rib a large on a Rosemary Parmesan bread had it with spicy Mao. The sandwich was pretty good mostly toasted where I mostly do like them that way has a sneaky spice to it. Might yous real prime rib or probably not. It was OK. It was high on price. Something different to have. Not any place to go all the time. Subway is much cheaper for $5 foot longs. Going their more then this place. For Quiznos 1 out of 5 I give it a 3 out of 5. More Indy Food Critic and other post well be out soon. Let you know I been putting some pitchers on Flickr you can see them. Not really part of Liem's Blogs or Indy Food Critic. Have some pitchers on their that I had used from past blogs on here. Remember something I am my own food critic and for now keep on eating!

Indy Food Critic: Dave & Busters

Today from now I ate at Dave & Busters over on the top part at the Legends shopping plaza over in Kansas City, Ks. Mostly the Legends area is been the place I been eating out and doing reviews on. I haven't ate or did a review on D&B since back in 2009 on my Myspace page. We all know Dave and Busters is like a form of a grown up Chuck E Cheese. That has games and serves food. This time when I was their had their legendary gold fingers that happens to be their chicken strips with fries. It is on their power play combo. They had re-model have some new games to play. They all ways all kinds of choices on their menu. But their food still not really the best. Chicken strips where kinds dry not much meat over cooked. More times I would just go to Applebees or Chili's to eat here. More times I would go here to play then eat. Still not good with their food. More times like a adult Chuck E Cheese. Let you know I am not going to a Chuck E Cheese to eat ever. Don't even think about me doing a review on it. For Dave and Busters right now 1 out of 5 I give it a 2 out of 5.

Let you know that I played to of their new games Dark Escape 4D where you have 3D goggles on by shooting things it is pretty scary to play and Dream Raiders is a moving seat game where it's pretty fun to play. I well be doing more Indy Food Critic post and other things as well. Remember something I am my own food critic and for now keep on eating!

Indy Food Critic: T-Rex Cafe

Haven't did a Indy Food Critic review for a while from now. Today from now I ate at T-Rex Cafe over in the Legends shopping plaza over in Kansas City, Ks. Had did a video review on it by the location back in 2009. T-Rex Cafe is a dinosaur theme place to eat with animatronic dinosaurs that is high on price. Do go their a thew times. I had a Gigantosaurus Burger it is a double burger. The waiter I had gave me a Guac-asurus burger instead. Tolled on him he got the wrong burger. Took awhile to get the one I wanted. The burger was meaty and big not really the best. This place is all ways once in a while to come back to. It is still worth checking out and if you have kids it is some place to take them out the food is not really the goodly made and the prices are high. The gift shop area is mostly things for kids. For T-Rex cafe 1 out of 5 I give it a 3 out of 5.

To see the 2009 V-Review and other videos on my YouTube channel. http://www.youtube.com/liemdrake Well be doing some more things soon. Remember something I am my own food critic and for now keep on eating!

Indy Food Critic: Why are their more Subways then any other sandwich shop

This is not a real Indy Food Critic review. This is something about Subways that I know about. Haven't did a Indy Food Critic review for a while. Since I am doing a lot right now. Some time soon I well go some place to do a review on it. But this is about Subways way their are more of them then any other sandwich or fast food place? We all know about Subways. Most of us go to one. Since they are fast to get. Not really high on fat and greasy. Mostly all over right now. Even have them at Wal-Marts. Their are more of them and go to them more then any other sandwich place's then Blimpie's, Quiznos, Mr. Goodcents, Planet Subs, Jimmy Johns and Fire House subs. Most of the sub shops I can think off. Subways are known for getting people to eat healthy. Half to get a some kind or toppings on a sub to loss weight. Have the $5 footlongs. That can be a pretty good deal. Probably Subways are cheapest franchise's to run. See more of them right now at a Wal-Mart with another one close to a Wal-Mart have them in some gas stains as well. Just open up one close by where I live right now. Pretty much like Dollar Stores right now all most every where even in the not so good part of town. Have as a $5 Sub shop. More of them then another kinds of fast foods such as McDonnell's, Burger King's and Taco Bells. I well still eat at a Subway. I well not do any reviews on them just put them that I ate their on my Facebook status. I well be doing more Indy Food Critic post soon. Remember something I am my own food critic and for now keep on eating!
